I can't believe I inched back up to 223. I hate that number. I have been exercising and eating healthy most of the time and not large portions. OK, I didn't measure or weigh anything. And I used real butter. Had a few desserts. Honestly not many. But it crept back up on me.
So anyway, today I had cereal, banana and walnuts for breakfast with skim milk and coffee.
It is only 11am but I am having a turkey on whole wheat with lite mayo because I was craving protein and was generally hungry after going to the eye doctor and being dissappointed by CVS again, computer down again. Plus I have water aerobics at 11:45 and needed my energy and don't get home til after 1pm.
I plan on eating some stawberries and a peach, a dill pickle and maybe some peanuts in the shell for snacks.
I have corn on cob, fresh green peas and chicken salad for supper already prepared.
Tomorrow, I plan to make couscous salad. I haven't found whole wheat couscous yet. Guess I have to go to the health food store. I have spring onion, cucumber from the farm, mint and basil, Maybe cut half of a cob of corn into it as well. I will grill a chicken breast and have some peanut sauce to put on it. Will also make a strawberry, onion, spinach salad.
Friday will be shrimp Caesar salad and more couscous. Apple and peach. Yogurt breakfast with blueberries and walnuts.
This is how I usually eat. Maybe too much honey in the yogurt and too much dressing on the salad. Of course, there is the occasional ice custard or nifty bar. But that is occasional. Can't remember the last cookie I ate. I did have a piece of pineapple upside down cake when John and Linda were here because we celebrated his birthday. And I shared a molten lava cake with mom on Mother's Day. Bad, bad me. I guess I have to buy some more pickles, I ate a huge jar for snacks instead of fat or sugar snacks. Also ate wheat thins and laughing cow cheese for snacks. Carrots and humus. I guess I should just eat my meals off of salad plates. And my snacks off jar lids. and exercise more. But I am already exercising more than I have in years. What ever.
